Zetzio
Zetzio is a video game blog which posts content targeted specifically at its own community. If the community isn’t interested in a particular video game, then we’re not going to waste time covering it. We’re not trying to be the next Gamespot, the blog’s goal is to feed the community with new topics to discuss and debate on the forums. Zetzio is designed to compliment your primary source of gaming news at best, as its ultimate purpose is not to inform you of every industry update, but to spotlight games that others in the community are currently playing.
Review Format
All reviews have a simple consistent format which was inspired by Kotaku’s own review format. By inspired, we of course mean shamelessly imitated. Each review will have an opening paragraph, points on what we liked and disliked about the game, and finally a closing paragraph. A final score is not given in our reviews as we assume you are able to read the entire article and decide for yourself if what we’ve written makes you want to play the game or avoid it.
As with all Zetzio content the purpose of a review is to highlight a new game which community members could be interested in. Due to this, our reviews aren’t always for the latest games, and can sometimes be for a game which is probably so old you could pick it up for a bargain. This leads us to echo our previous statement that Zetzio should not be your primary source for video game reviews, but more like that extra save file you make in case you get stuck and need to revert to a previous point in the game.
Quickplay
Quickplay is a very straight forward feature where we highlight a small game for readers to mess about on. In most cases these games will have be score-based, so readers are encouraged to screenshot and post their final score to see who can acquire the largest e-penis. Vizions
Vizions is another simple feature where we post a plethora of video game related YouTube videos. These videos can range from things like gameplay footage from leet gamers to funny parodies and machinima. We don’t care if it’s old, there’s always someone who hasn’t seen it yet. Get in contact with us if you want to suggest a kickass video for us to highlight in an upcoming Vizions post.
Protips
Protips is a regular feature where we submit shady advice on a select game for the sake of humour. Everything is very tongue-in-cheek and should not be taken seriously unless you have evidence that our team of pros are giving you incorrect advice on how to pwn. All fanboy complaints should be sent to an email address that is not related to Zetzio, and there is no ETA on when we can reply to them.
Becoming a Contributor
You will need to be a regular member of our community and be familiar with our other frequent visitors. Having good literacy skills obviously helps, but most importantly being able to stay up to date with gaming news and post content on a recurrent basis. Sense of humour is a good bonus, and by that we mean people think you’re funny, not you thinking you’re funny.
