Samsung said they would send me a replacement since my warranty is still active, but I&#39;m still waiting for the courier to deliver it. My monitor&#39;s backlight dying on me is fail #1.</p> <p>They told me that I only need to give the courier the monitor itself, so I had to remove the cables, stand and spine. I removed the stand quite easily, but the spine just wouldn&#39;t come out and I didn&#39;t want to force it too much. After some time, I started to get a little rough and gave it a big tug, at which point it came out, but the monitor slipped off my lap and fell to the ground.</p> <p>As it hit the ground, it opened up and the insides went all over the place as if there was an explosive in the bloody thing. Samsung&#39;s warranty covers malfunctions, not me dropping it on the floor, so I was very angry. This is fail #2. It took a while, but I stuck the whole thing back together and will be crossing my fingers that Samsung don&#39;t notice the damage and ask for their replacement monitor back.</p> <p>All in all, this has been troublesome so far... </p>
