Last week when I got home from work, I found that my PC monitor's backlight wasn't working, thus making it nearly impossible to see anything on the screen. Samsung said they would send me a replacement since my warranty is still active, but I'm still waiting for the courier to deliver it. My monitor's backlight dying on me is fail #1.
They told me that I only need to give the courier the monitor itself, so I had to remove the cables, stand and spine. I removed the stand quite easily, but the spine just wouldn't come out and I didn't want to force it too much. After some time, I started to get a little rough and gave it a big tug, at which point it came out, but the monitor slipped off my lap and fell to the ground.
As it hit the ground, it opened up and the insides went all over the place as if there was an explosive in the bloody thing. Samsung's warranty covers malfunctions, not me dropping it on the floor, so I was very angry. This is fail #2. It took a while, but I stuck the whole thing back together and will be crossing my fingers that Samsung don't notice the damage and ask for their replacement monitor back.
All in all, this has been troublesome so far...
