I played four matches this morning before going to work and I was impressed. The most important thing I should start by saying is that I didn't have any lag issues at all, which is a huge contrast from my BC1 MP demo experience. I'll quickly list the four classes you can play with and my experience with each of them.
Assault: You get an assault rifle with a grenade launcher on this class, the standard infantry basically. They're also the only class that can drop ammo boxes for themselves and other players. They do what their name implies well, since when rushing an objective they can smoke out entrenched enemies with those grenade launchers.
Engineer: They pack silences SMGs as their primary weapon. They also have an anti-tank weapon and a repair ability to fix ally vehicles. As far as I can tell, silences weapons don't really offer a huge advantage in BC2 because you don't appear on the radar every time you shoot. Vehicles are a common sight in BF games however, so it's their anti-tank weapons you want next to you in combat.
Medic: Primary weapon is an LMG and it's actually very good. Their LMGs are very accurate even in full auto because BC2 LMGs have barely any recoil. They might lack the grenade launchers of the assault class, but their primary weapon does more damage, has the same recoil and has a higher ammo capacity so they are great overwatch units. Naturally, the medic can revive dead allies and throw health packs on the ground.
Recon: Sniper class, and the closest thing to a stealth class you'll get in BC2 unfortunately. Snipers are deadly in this game since most of the time they'll be shooting you from long range and you'll have no idea where you're getting shot from, this isn't COD where they show up on the radar once they shoot, they have ghillie suits and are hard to detect. It takes two shots to kill someone with the sniper, or one shot if you hit'em in the head. They also get C4 charges and a motion sensor that you can toss onto the floor, which shows enemies on everyone's map if they enter the sensor's range.
I suggest all of you download this demo so we can play together in the same squad. It's a great team game and hardly any lag so do check the demo out as it's doing a good job of convincing me to pre-order it.
