I recently enjoyed The Dark Knight, good action romp. One my favoruite movies of all time, The Pianist, not much action, but a very emotinoal and intresting movie.

I saw Hurt Locker recently and thought it was good.
I watched Jackie Brown the other day a great movie.Posted 1 year ago # | -
Pulp Fiction is a cult classic that is a must see. Also Taken is a brilliant movie. Forrest Gump is a great movie that stars Tom Hanks, as are most movies starring Tom Hanks.

A bunch of suggestions off the top of my head. The last one is an old film, but still great to watch if you haven't seen it yet. I think you've already seen Let the Right On In, so I would suggest watching The Hurt Locker next.
Let the Right One In
The Hurt Locker
The Cove
Apocalypse NowPosted 1 year ago # | -

I've yet to see Taken and Forrest Gump. I hear a lot of people mentioning the latter, so I'll have to check it out soon. I've heard it's good but never bothered looking into it for some reason.

Forrest Gump is an absolute classic nemph, can't believe you havn't seen it. It truly is an epic of a film though so you'll have to have an open mind when you watch it.
Also ive been meaning to watch the hurt locker, think i just downloaded it so i'll give it a go soon.
And for you jack i'd reccomend district 9 . Great film

I watched Forrest Gump, and even cried around the end of the film. Great film, would recommend it for anyone else who hasn't seen it. :]

Yeah it's a real heart wrencher, but just so epic.
I've just finished watching Zombieland which is a pretty decent movie.

Zombieland is alright for a quick time-waster but wouldn't really recommend it as a "Dude, check this movie out!" kind of film. A good popcorn movie though.

I did not really enjoy Zombieland I think Shaun of the Dead is a better comedy zombie movie.
I watched Rohin again last night that is an awesome movie.Posted 1 year ago # | -
An old but fun movie to watch is Equilibrium, which I believe is a film that inspired some aspects of The Matrix. The fights are a bit ridiculous but still fun to watch, and the story isn't too shabby.

I do enjoy Equilibrium some epic gun-fu.
Spoiler for : (hover to see)
I love the bit near the end when the black guy tries to stop the main character (cant remember his name) and he just gets owned in secondsPosted 1 year ago # | -
Spoiler for Equilibrium: (hover to see)
Yeah, but the way he splits into two was over the top. My favourite part is the last fight against that chubby bloke where they are trying to shoot each other in the face but keep pushing the pistols away with some mad CQC skills.Posted 1 year ago # | -

That bit is awesome. There is also the bit where the guards find him with that dog. He is surround by like 6 guards all with assault rifles and kills them all without even being hit. In fact the film is just full of awesome if slightly over the top fight scenes.hmm spoiler tags arnt working

Just finished watching From Paris With Love, which is newly released in the cinemas. It's a pretty awesome action film, and I have to say John Travolta is pretty bad-ass in it.
Posted 1 year ago # | -
haha I saw that on ninjavideo and thought it was another rom-com. Will have to check it out now I know its an action movie.
Posted 1 year ago # | -
Yeah, I find it strange seeing Travolta in something like Grease then an action film like that.
Also, it is directed by the same guy that dd Taken.

The trailer makes it look so mediocre that I didn't bother watching it.
Also, Travolta with a goatee and bald head? Could barely recognise him.

just watched The taking of Pelham 123 Mathew (sry if i spelled your name wrong) and the movie was great! Much better then i tought! best quote " now you do what you have to do, but we need milk"

I watched that From Paris With love a few days ago and I have to say it is the worst movie I have seen this year.
It just did not flow while there was like no story or characterization. It did not even have enough good action to hold up the awful story and acting.Posted 1 year ago # | -
Glad someone agrees with me that From Paris With Love not only sucked cock, but my god was it predictable. Also I kept expecting something smart to happen around the end but no, it was just brainless mush all along.

As soon as I saw his fiancée I said to my friend "I bet you any money that bitch is going to betray him." and boy was that easy to see coming. After a while, you can guess that kind of shit just based on how much attention they're giving an uninteresting character... You could tell she was either going to be a traitor or she was going to die, amusingly, I guess she got both...Posted 1 year ago # | -
I personally felt the action was pretty good, as was the interaction between Travolta and the other dude. Yeah it's predictable and in now way ground breaking, but if I watch a movie and it entertains me, then I enjoy it.

I just felt it lacked the style of Luc Besson's eariler films. I would check out his films like Subway or Leon. Infact Leon is awesome just go watch that.
