We expect all community members to respect the guidelines below and try their best to follow them. Depending on the circumstance and how overkill you were with the guideline(s) you broke, we may or may not punish you for it. These could range from being temporarily suspended to being permanently banned.
Grouping a subject into one big topic should be avoided as much as possible. We find people lose interest in a subject quicker when there's no big focus in the discussion, so for example avoid making a topic where people can link to cool videos, but instead make an individual topic for that video you want people to check out.
Debates and critique among members is encouraged, but don't get too personal. There's a line that shouldn't be crossed in these situations and your common sense should help you know where that line is during such moments.
Advertising is frowned upon unless it's legitimately awesome or if you're an active member of our community. If you barely have any prior forum posts and you're advertising something, don't be surprised to see your topic and maybe even your account deleted the next time you try logging in.
Spamming the forum or a topic back-to-back with trash is obviously not going to leave a good impression on us. We will nearly always assume that you knew full well what you were doing and so the punishment we dish out will reflect that assumption.
Common sense is the most important thing you need to have. The guidelines above are just common problems we want to tackle before they arise, but there are many things not covered in these rules that you obviously shouldn't do. Just because we haven't said we'll ban you for posting porn doesn't mean it's allowed, so keep your common sense close to you at all times.
