They really do need to start coming up with more original names for these Zombie infested games.
"Gamers step into a third-person sci-fi survival horror experience that promises to deliver the ultimate in psychological thrills and gruesome action. Set in the cold blackness of deep space, the atmosphere is soaked with a feeling of tension, dread and sheer terror. In Dead Space, players step into the role of engineer Isaac Clarke – an ordinary man on a seemingly routine mission to fix the communications systems aboard a deep space mining ship. It is not long before Isaac awakes to a living nightmare when he learns that the ship's crew has been ravaged by a vicious alien infestation. He must fight through the dead silence and darkness of deep space to stay alive."
Sounds like pretty much any survivial horror game. But what caught my eye was the fact they are going to take out the pause button. Theres no chance of stopping, healing yourself, killing more zombies, stopping, healing yourself, killing more zombies etc.
More a case of zombie, dead, zombie, dead, running low on health, oh well i'll just pau-, OH SHIT!!!!, run away, run away run away, hide in a corner.
Its sure to highten the tension and fear levels that you feel when playing the game.
" Menu-wise, everything is displayed in-game; if you want to have a browse through your inventory to boost your health, you'll have to do it through the hologram projected in front of your face. This way, if the hordes of screaming monsters become too much, the only way you're going to be able to calm down is by finding a quiet room by literally running for your life (well, not that literally). If you need to boost your health during a fight, then you'd better do it quick. This system keeps you in the game all the time and looks bloody cool."
