I don't know how many of you appreciate shoot'em ups but it's a genre I personally enjoy dipping my toe in even though I'm not that great at racking up a high score. Cave, the most well-known shoot'em up game developer in the scene, released one of their Japan only titles on the iPhone.
I was very sceptical about this because I didn't think the iPhone controls would work well at all for a bullet hell game from Cave, but they've done an excellent job at fine-tuning the player's movement sensitivity. The game has six stages, three playable characters and a story that makes no sense to me since I've never played the original.
There's not much else I can say other than if you like bullet hell shoot'em ups, then this won't disappoint. Below is some gameplay from the XBLA version which is only available in Japan (you can download it with a Japanese account). The iPhone version is basically identical and lets you play the original arcade version or the iPhone version specially made for portable players.
