I'm planning to go up to London for May's (23rd and 24th) MCM Expo, go up Friday stay in a hotel for the weekend and come back after. Anyone else planning to go? Also fear us for we will be cosplaying!

The London MCM Expo has mostly been done in May each year. I'll be there Anthony, so once it gets closed to the date we can start planning properly on when/where to meet etc. Anyone else coming along? It can be a little meet-up before the next Warhammer one. :]

Just to make it official then; London MCM Expo '09 will be a Zetzio gathering. If you can make it, awesome, if not then there will be a next time so don't feel down. I'm considering going in cosplay but I'll need to work on it if I want to finish it before the event.

Just to clarify, I'm definitely going to this year's expo and three of my friends who are registered on these forums will be coming with me. If everyone who I think might come does turn up, there will be roughly nine of us attending which could be pretty awesome. It's still a while for the event though, and these expos are mainly big geek markets so I suggest saving up some money to spend there if you're interested.

Just so everyone knows what they're getting into, the MCM Expo isn't anything amazing. It's basically a big marketplace for geek products where fellow geeks will be all over the place. So if you're coming, come because you want to meet up with the other ZTO members and just muck about and chat together, because honestly there's not going to be a whole lot more to do there.
It would be excellent if enough of us had portable systems like a DS or PSP, we could trying having some WiFi sessions together while sitting down at the cafe etc. Last time I went to the expo we saw some guys who bought a laptop and connected two arcade sticks to them to play beat'em ups there, it was actually quite an awesome idea. Anyone got any suggestions of some group things we can try doing?

The previous posts will tell you the date, not sure how mich tickets are but you can find out on their website and I haven't bought mine yet because I'd rather get them when the date is closer and I'm more positive that I can attend.

This topic has now been given a global status to make it easier to spot new posts. If the Facebook group is anything to go by, four of us from this community have said we're most likely attending. Those four are myself, Anthony, Jason and Dwayne so far. If you're planning to attend and aren't on that list, let me know so we can try and make plans to all meet up. :]

Make sure you all check the Facebook event made specially for our meetup. Facebook's event feature makes it a lot easier for people to see exactly who is coming, who might be coming and who isn't. So updates will be up there before being posted on the forums.
