So, leaked scans and a new gameplay teaser. The hype train has departed on its epic journey. I really hope the weapons are more balanced in multiplayer this time around since all good players just stick to using the high tier weapons on COD4.

MemberI hope they add one feature to split screen gameplay...and that is each player has a free custom slot they can add with perks..ofcourse the owner of the game like P1 has to have them unlocked.
Dont really mean much.... i mean most ppl dont play it as much split..but it would be really cool when we play at jasons house or something

Definitely, I couldn't believe it when they didn't address that issue on World at War. If I'm playing with my friends, I don't want to use a god damn MP5 with UAV Jammer, I want to use an MP5 with red dot sight and stopping power. Surely it can't be that hard to give us custom classes in split screen. And don't call my Shirley.

So apparently in MW2 you can dual wield a knife and a pistol at the same time. I'm not sure what the exact advantages of this will be, and the ones I can come up with are pretty limited in use, but rushing at an enemy whilst emptying your pistol clip, then knifing him as the finishing attack sounds like a fairly badass thing to try.

The dual wielding pistol/knife is confirmed, it came straight from the horse's mouth. I think that's the only thing you'll be dual wielding though, it's not like they're going to give you two AK47s to run around with. I assume it's just to make pistols a more deadly weapon, so snipers who have to rely on it for close range combat can survive a little longer since they can spray the pistol and if the enemy is close enough, slash'em with the knife.
More importantly, I'm surprised nobody has asked IW in an interview yet about how they plan to stop people taking advantage of single shot guns firing like machine guns thanks to modded controllers. I think the best fix to that is to just set a limit to how fast you can pull the trigger, a point where it's not humanely possible or realistic to be able to fire that fast. It would be a simple fix in my opinion.

CQC is already in COD games. They're not implementing martial arts here, they're just letting you slash your knife whilst still shooting your pistol. At least that's what I think they're doing, because all they said is you can hold a pistol and a knife at the same time, but they haven't gone out and said you can use both at the same time. Maybe you can't even slash with the right stick anymore, and you have to switch to pistol to slash your knife?

Membersince MWF2 is going to be one of the hottest games of this year i tought we all could disccus what kinds of thing we want in the new modern warfare game.
for me i want them too fix so there are more usufull guns. i mean right now some assault rifels are better then others and so on. it would just be more funny to have guns with diffrent advatages.
also it would be cool if they made the perks more balanced too. becuse at the moment the only REd perk peopel use i stopping power or juggernaut and MAYBE slight of hand.
I not sure about this one but what do you guys think about to be abel to customize your own character?
we have seen in the trailers some guy running around with shields. what do you guys think? would it be awsome with shields?
and last thing. destructeble enviroments? yes or no?

I've had this discussion on another forum already and honestly can't be bothered repeating myself since I already went overkill about this subject elsewhere. Suffice it to say, more weapons and more maps is all I want, and more balance.

As long as the Prestige edition doesn't have a ridiculous price tag, and as long as the NVG looks like something well-made instead of a mass-produced 'toy' that feels very plasticky etc. I'm cancelling my normal pre-order and getting this. 90% of the shit that comes in collector's editions are pretty forgetable and crap, the figures that came with SF4 and Bioshock were extremely poor in comparison to the average figure a hobbyist would own. I'm going to wait until more people get some hands on before deciding to switch pre-orders.

The artbook for a game like MW doesn't interest me in the slightest, it looks very 'do not want' like the Gears of War art book I got from the special edition. The only art book based on an FPS I have and enjoyed was a limited edition Half-Life 2 one, which I still have. It went into nice detail on everything from all the enemies that did and didn't appear in the game to the locales. MW2's art book looks like how the GoW was where they just have some pretty concept art from scenery and crap, which you can easily find scanned on the internet a few days after launch.

It's definitely coming out in the US and UK, and if the UK is getting it then all of EU should be as well. The point of the collector's edition is to make more money, so as long as your country has money, Activision will be there selling you their game.

MemberI did not really get that hyped by it but then it did not show us much. Biggest news for my was being able to customise your kill streak bonuses, there seems to be 15 different ones, not sure if that is just for 11 kill streak or if you can choose for 3,5,7.
Also saw that one of the guns had a motion sensor, I guess that is a unlock not sure if its for all guns or just LMGS. There was also a new nade type called syntex or something which looks like a type of C4.
The gunship looked cool, but with all those flares looks hard to kill, i guess its best to just kill the person using it.
Do the GFX look different ? I could not really see any difference. Was hoping the guns would sound better but i guess not thought that was always a weakness of the series.Posted 2 years ago # | -

Yeah, I've seen that. I think that multiplayer footage was rehearsed and I also found it interested to see that all the weapons used in the footage had pretty tame recoil when firing in full auto. Still can't wait to get my hands on this though, I've nearly hit the ceiling with COD4 so finally MW2 is around the corner to let me start from the bottom again.
