So I guess that confirms the whole third person thing? Judging by the voice of the announcer at the start of the match, it's boxed into its own matchmaking game type so it's like Hardcore where if you want to have some third person fun then the option is there. It actually doesn't look that bad, but fuck third person since I hate being able to abuse looking around corners without showing myself.
Am I the only one who thought it was awesome how you can pick up the knives you throw?

I can't see myself be using knives. The only reason i can see for using them is for taking out an enemy from behind silently, at some sort of small range. A silenced pistol or regular shank will do that job just as well. However, i guess we arn't going to know its true strengths till next Monday/Tuesday.
Unlike pistols, it's a one hit kill and we aren't sure of its range just yet. The silenced pistol argument is also flawed because every high level player uses a Desert Eagle as its easily the best pistol, and will only ever change that to an M9 Berreta if they are using an MP5 for the extra ammunition trick it provides. As you said though, we'll see just how useful it can be soon enough.
I wont be using the Knifes as they take up the slot for your nades. I think I would prefer nades to a throwing knife.
Exactly. This is the single biggest reason why I am unsure of throwing knives. Frag grenades, when used properly, provide a lot of help when trying to slow down your opponents from rushing a key location before you. Taking away your ability to throw set-grenades just for the luxury of having throwing knives is a massive trade. Unless Infinity Ward has somehow disabled set-grenades, I can't see myself using throwing knives in a serious match.
