I was excepted into the testing of the new dashboard update, downlo0ading it now. I'll post my thoughts later.

Very basic, even more so than the iPod app. You can view photos, basic profile info, and status news feed. You can comment on those things, but you can't post to walls.
Last FM:
Runs much like the PC and iPod versions, works brillantly. My biggest gripe extends to all of these apps. You can't use it outside the app, so no LastFM while your gaming. This kills it, if I want to be listing to music while I do something I'll load up my PC rather than have my 360 on.
Microsoft need to find a way of letting you access these features from the guide, I see little point in any of them without guide intergration.

MemberI was saying to Mus over XBL that I can't ever see myself using Last FM on the Xbox. If I do listen to music while on the Xbox, I do so through my iPod or computer. The fact you can't even listen to it in game just concretes my thoughts that it will be useless for me.

I think this update is best described as a cherry on top of your cake. It's a nice little addition, but it's just one small cherry. Enjoy it with your cake and let the cherry compliment it.
I need some cake now.
