Ok for some fucking reason i've been getting a shit load of EMA recently and like buying a new game every week. 90% Of them have been purely on random impulse, having not seen anything about the game.. and well, 90% of them have been pretty rubbish. I thought i'd just quickly slide through the new games i've bought and my opinions of them (This could go into the 'New shit' topic)

Infamous - For any PS3 fans i'd say this is a decent buy.. i personally don't like the action that much but the story and graphics are awesome and it does get more fun as the game progresses.. a quick 7.5/10!!

Prototype - now i read alot of bad reviews about this on the console version, so i bought it on the PC through steam, and i have to say i think it's awesome. Just reckless carnage and a pretty decent story.. if you ever played Hulk Ultimate Destruction and liked that then you'll love this. 9/10 for what it's worth.

Virtua Tennis 2009 - Because i was watching wimbledon, i quickly looked around for the monopoly that is the tennis simulator - and boy i have to say, that is a pretty open market for any new game designer. Because this game is utter tosh. I got it from steam aswell, and even if it was only 24.99, if i had known what it would be like, i wouldn#t have gotten it for 5.99. Don't buy it... although none of you probably were considering it anyway. 2/10.

Sims 3 - I used to love sims alot, and whilst this basically has all the same gizmos as the last sim games, plus even more... it does seem to just lack a bit. They completely lie when they say the sims need to go to the toilet less and stuff, i still find that 80% of my sims activities in the day are stuff to keep him from dieing - eating, sleeping, pissing, washing. And the other 20% is going to work - and you STILL can't actually see what your sim does at work.. which is pretty annoying. I got so tired of it all that i loaded up the cheats, getting rid of my sims needs and infinite money, but then i found myself becoming quickly bored. Next time i'm in the mood for a life-simulator i'll probably load it back up but.. kinda wish i hadn't coughed up 35 quid for this. 6/10

Fight Night Round 4 - Ok this wasn't really an impulse buy - i loved FNR3 so i had to get this game. If i'm honest everything feels pretty much the same except for improvements on the GFX and the fighting mechanics - and well tbh that's enough to make me like the game alot. It can get boring after a while, as the career mode is just fight after fight - but the fighting itself is really sound. Only main issues i have with it is - in career mode it takes AGES to train your fighter up so you'll have to be patient - and online mode is just impossible to play. Every single fucking person does this glitch/cheat where they throw body shots continously with Mike Tyson and you just can't play a fun game. 8/10

Err i think i bought about 3 more games but i'm typing this while at work experience and i can't really remember them. So they must have been real shit!

Fight Night 4 is awesome, period. I understand Legacy mode is quite boring, but trying changing the difficulty, so you actually have to use your brain rather than pointless spamming. People that spam body shots online are the easiest people to knockout, just keep moving back and throw an jab to keep him at bay, see how your opponent reacts, sometimes when you throw a jab he'll throw a straight, so trying finding a pattern in his movement and punching, once you got that on lock just lean and weave through his punches and go for the head. He's already wasting his stamina so he's doing half your job already, once the round is over your opponent is gonna have to decide if he's going to spend his points on his health or stamina. Quite simple once you start using that thing between your ears.

I have prototype on my rental list. It looks like it has some good mindless action, a good type of game to kill a couple of hours with.

Thought I could add some reviews of a few games I have rented in the last few weeks hope you dont think I am stealing your thread :) just think its a good idea. TBH most have been crap.

Army of Two: I played the demo and was not impressed but put it on my rentals any way. Its a standard fps but you have a AI friend which is not that new. The missions are pretty standard and the controls feel ok. The gfx are ok as well. You have to babysit the ai which is bit annoying, I had to carry on telling him to hold postion or he would just run in the enemy and die. The aggro meter feels abit dumb if you AI is doing alot of damage the enemy wont shoot you. So you just put the ai on hold then walk behind all the enemies while they shoot him and kill them. There are also annoying enemies that can only be killed from behind so you have do the aggro thing. I played split screen co-op and the game still felt boring and the aggro was still as annoying.

I would give it a 6/10 rent if you must, i would not buy it.

Frontlines Fuel of War : this plays like a battlefield game but is not as good. It focus on the world running out of fuel and american and russia/china battling it out. You fight in the standard places, middle east, russia. You control a squad of guys well they follow you around and you have to capture points on the map. I found the controls to be quite clunky and when you are in a tank or car they are awful which is bad as most of the game envoles using them. The gfx sub par and every just looks really dull.

    3/10

Fable 2: I decided I would like to try a rpg and sarced 2 had a long wait. So i tried out this game. Most of you have played this already so you know how it plays. I was not a fan of it, it was too cartoony for me and everything felt a bit dumb. Like doing farts and things. The combat was ok and I did like using the spells to stop time then blast them with my pistol. The gfx where ok for the theme it was going for. But I just could not get into the story or world.

    5/10
