so guys i just saw a documentary that says video games make kids(peopel) more violent. so guys what do you think? does video games has effects or anthing? this is such a huge are to talk about so just start talking about a subject on this.

I think the only reason video games make any person more violent is because their parents haven't taught them the fundamental morals and rights & wrongs of modern society, and therefore those people take impression from the games that depict simulated reality, where everyone mistreats each other, and think that's how life work.

Video games don't make people violent, assuming those people are old enough to be playing them. In nearly all cases where a kid commits a murder and someone tries to blame video games, the guilty party was too young to be playing the game in question.
When you're young, everything leaves an impression on you. When you're over 18, people generally assume you're smart enough to know what's right and wrong in the world, less you be retarded or something. So yes, video games CAN cause violence if you're playing GTA and you're 8 years old or retarded, but otherwise it's just as dangerous as music and film.
D12's 'Bizarre' raps about the most disgusting shit in his music, it's usually random crap about raping grannies and cumming in someone's eye etc. Hearing Bizarre say all that crap and not get noticed is just as likely to leave an impression on someone who may think "Oh wow, nobody seems to be in an uproar about Bizarre's music, maybe jizzing in someone's eye is okay after all!" But no, you kill one hoe in GTA and you're officially a violent gamer who will probably shoot up your school some day.

i agree that violent games dont make peopel killers. its so silly becuse a few individuals does violent stuff or even kill peopel video games are blamed. its kinda funny there must always be some one or something to blame.
one thing though i heard on that debate for 1 hour they guy who says video games make peopel violent i think he has 1 point right. why video games gives a higer effect of making peopel violent then movies and music is becuse you are the one who makes the choices and pulls the trigger. so well i guess its true you are more conictrated. but seruisly, violent games is way to small too have some effect at all.
The vast majority of games on the market are in fact violent games. It's what people want to play, I see many non-gamers who are instantly put off when I ask to play a game that doesn't look 'mature' like Katamari Damacy. They just look at the box and say "This is gay."

I played violent games and watched violent movies since age of 6, you don't see me shooting schools and shit. I admit though, I get quite violent when I lose my temper and that was the main reason why I got kicked out of school. But, I don't really blame games for that, I blame the enviroment I grew up in, where I live you can get killed cause you looked at someone wrong or if people know your weak they will rip to shred like wolves.

Lol, that sounds like Edmonton ..the only thing hes missing is the fact tht if i am born like say 5mins down the road from you and unfortunately it puts me in a different post code from you i will be your enemy and everytime i walk through your area i will be looked upon from the top deck of a bus..and they will be like " yo blad, thats tht guy blad he lives like 5mins from me blad..but he in different ends blad...lets shank him blad."

Edmonton's nickname is 'Shanktown' last time I checked. It's a lively place that also happens to be quite deadly. Ironically I've never been robbed or had trouble in my area, only in other areas. But I'm getting off topic I guess.
