To start with, I just want to clarify that this isn't a topic to discuss when the next Warhammer World meetup is going to be, but more specifically what we plan to do there.
Naturally, we're going to be playing Warhammer 40,000, but how many points should we each aim to bring, and should we have a little tournament or just have various friendly games with each other depending on our mood?
Army size is important because we want enough units to enjoy a good game, but we also want to make it easy for each person to carry their army to Nottingham, and some of us don't have 2500 armies. I think 1000 points might be good, or 1500 if we're feeling brave.
As for a friendly tournament, this seemed cool to me at first but lately I've had a change of mind. We will probably have a lot more fun on the day if we just go with the flow, battle whoever we feel like playing against and not taking it too seriously.
Just to have something to look forward to though, I think we should do a big four way battle. Something like Tau vs. Space Marines vs. Chaos vs. Tyranids for example. It would be a pretty big blood bath, and maybe a good match to end the day with before we head home.
Does anyone have any suggestions to add?
