Just got home and switched the 360 on to see that I'm in the Xbox Live Preview beta thing. The update won't be anything massive but there are quite a few small touches that will go a long way to make shit easier in the future. Maybe it's just me, but the friends tab on the dashboard seems to load a lot faster, as in the avatars appear much quicker than usual. Anyone else get in? I want to test out the new party features.

Certain aspects of it definitely load a lot faster, like the friends list on the dashboard. Most of the changes are so minor that you don't notice them at first glance. People have numbers on the top right of their gamercards now for example, the number tells you how long they've been a member of Xbox Live. You can also rate all Marketplace content out of five stars and sort content by rating. If you're not in the beta, you're not missing out on much, this update is nowhere near the scale that NXE was when launching, it's more like a small patch that's just about big enough to get some press coverage.
