I've been looking at people "Top 10/100/50/X Games" lists and I've been wondering, for the people here, what are your favorite games from each Genre? Mine are below.

First Person Shooter : Half Life 2
Third Person Shooter : Oni
Real Time Stratergy : Age of Empires II
Turn Based Stratergy : Alpha Centuri
Side Scroller : Super Mario Bros.
Platformer : Prince of Persia: Sand of Time
Party Based WRPG : Dragon Age : Orgins
PC Based WRGP : Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion
JRPG : Final Fantasy X
Racing Game : Wipeout 3
Flight Game : Crimsion Skies

Ok lets have a go at this. I like you choice of flight game that game was awesome. Not so sure on Oni it was fun but so buggy.

First Person Shooter : BF1942
Third Person Shooter : Rainbow Six Vegas( again played hardly any of these)
Real Time Stratergy : total annihilation
Turn Based Stratergy : Medieval Total war (if that counts)
Side Scroller : Super Mario Bros.
Platformer : Not really a platformer but does not fit into 3rd person shooters devil may cry
Party Based WRPG : Dungeon siege( have played hardly any of these games )
PC Based WRGP : Fallout 3
JRPG : N/A the only game I can think i have played like this is Lost oddyssey
Racing Game : Mario Kart (N64 plus Wii version)
Flight Game : Crimsion Skies

A really intresting choices you guys have. For me it will be harder on some genres to chose my FAVORITE one but i'll simply just have to chose one of them.

First Person Shooter : Turok 64 ( nthdthdgdcrtdtrk thats the password i learned when i was 6 wich unlocks all the cheats ^^)

Third Person Shooter : Dead space
Real Time Stratergy : Company of heroes
Turn Based Stratergy : Heroes of might and magic!
Side Scroller : Rush /n attack
Platformer : mario party
Party Based WRPG : Mass effect!!!
PC Based WRGP : dunno
JRPG : Final Fantasy X
Racing Game : Motor storm
Flight Game : Drakonies skies

I enjoyed Oni a lot as at the time I'd never played a game that intergrated Melle and Gunplay so well. Still been a long time since I've played it, things tend to look better when you have to draw on memories!

I could never decide on favourites, especially for that many categories. I can easily list a bunch of games I enjoy a lot from various genres but I couldn't tell you which among them are my clear cut favourites.

I'm ditto with nemphtis but i'll do it anyway 'cause i'm a good sport.
I've also added more columns..

First Person Shooter : Bioshock (Halo 2 a close second, played that on original XBOX everyday for a year.)

Third Person Shooter : Gears of War MP

Real Time Stratergy : Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth (1&2&3) Also i liked Dungeon Master alot when i was a kid.

Turn Based Stratergy : Football Manager 2008/9/10,

Side Scroller : Sonic

Platformer : Played that crash bandicoot game alot when i was young.

Party Based WRPG: Mass Effect

PC Based WRGP : Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion

JRPG : Final Fantasy VIII

Racing Game : Burnout 3

Flight Game : N/A

Fighting Game: Smackdown vs Raw: Here comes the pain !

Sports Game: FIFA 09/10 !!!

First Person Shooter : 007 Golden eye on n64 baby / Halo 2
Third Person Shooter : Uncharted 2
Side Scroller : Streets of Rage or Shinobi on the genesis megadrive
Platformer : Crash Bandicoot or Rayman 3
JRPG : Tales Of Symphonia and Final Fantasy VIII
Racing Game : Gran turismo on ps1
Fighting Game: Tekken or Street Fighter
Sports Game: NBA Street VOL 2
