Phew, so the expo is over and I’ve finally had some time to sit down and pick out the best photos from the expo. I attended both Saturday and Sunday so these photos are from both days. Unfortunately I took over three hundred photos, so I’ve limited my selection to sixty-four of the most suitable images I had taken. When picking out the photos I was trying to make sure you guys could get a good feel of what we saw; such as the crowds, figures and ass. Hit the jump for the gallery, and a few more details on what went down.

I met up with Anthony and Dwayne on Saturday, and we spent the majority of our time browsing all the goods on sale whilst joking about and basically trying to take in all the shit that was going around us constantly. I said this to the guys and I’ll say it again on here – I really regret spending too much time browsing figures and not enough time taking photos on Saturday, because that’s the day when it was significantly more crowded with cosplayers. I made up for this mistake as best I could on Sunday, but many of the awesome cosplayers only attended Saturday.

Once Saturday night’s expo was done with, Anthony invited me and Dwayne over to his hotel room (nudge nudge), where we had a blast playing Rock Band, Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3. Anthony and his friends had system linked two consoles together so we played three versus three Halo 3 matches with each time playing from a separate hotel room. Hell yes.

Sunday was a lot quieter as I mentioned. The advantage of attending Sunday is that many items drop down in price drastically since the sellers want to get rid of their stock before the final day is over. A good example is how I purchased a Rei Ayanami figure for £20 on Saturday, assuming it wouldn’t last until tomorrow, but the next day they had more in stock and were selling it for half the price. It’s not all bad news though; I bought a fantastic Muv-Luv figure for £45, when it was initially being sold for £60. The icing on the cake was when the same seller gave me his email address to receive similar discounts on his online store… awesome.

Overall, it was a great weekend and a nice change for me since I work seven days a week. It was unfortunate that certain Zetzio members who had initially planned to be there couldn’t due to various reasons, but Dwayne, Anthony and I had a great time traversing ExCel together. Here’s to hoping we can organise another meet-up at the London MCM Expo next year, but until then, we still have the Warhammer World gathering to chew over.
