Robert Sakaluk is a tabletop gamer like many of us here at Zetzio. Unlike us, though, Robert decided to be a win machine by converting some Warmachine miniatures into Bioshock themed custom models which look awesome. The Big Daddy is no doubt the show stealer here, and seeing it with a big-ass sword and shield just makes it look even more badass. There’s also a Little Sister which is extracting Adam from a corpse, plus what looks like a Big Sister if I’m not mistaken. GamePro’s July cover has the first image of Bioshock 2′s Big Daddy, who you will be playing as. As you can see from the above image, it’s not as awesome-looking, but fortunately the game is in first person so you won’t have to stare at this ugly bastard much. GamePro is also claiming to have details so good, they can be considered spoilers. I hope this isn’t true since I can’t really see why 2K would reveal so much for a game that ascended thanks to its narrative. The part I’m most interested in is their impressions on the multiplayer, and the Big Daddy’s “biggest secret”, whatever the hell that could be.

This is the full footage from all the demo videos that were circulating a week ago, coupled with some commentary. Those ten minutes fly by pretty quickly as you analyse the footage, but it’s worth watching if you’re looking forward to this deep sea rape-fest. Personally I don’t think the whole harvest/adopt thing is going to stop me from sleeping at night, I was hoping they’d come up with something a little more unique than that, but perhaps I’m raising my expectations far too high, so I’ll wait and see for now. By the way, the Big Sister is badass, I love nimble characters like that, wish I could play as her instead of the clunky Big Daddy. Fuck drills, I would much rather stick a giant needle in an enemy’s neck and suck out that Adam.

You may remember Digital Extremes from Dark Sector, which wasn’t actually a bad game even though it was accused of being a Gears of War clone. Well, regardless of what you think of the studio, it was recently revealed that they’re the ones who are working on the multiplayer aspect of Bioshock 2. If you remember 2K were saying how Bioshock 2 would be a sequel and prequel at the same time, this is due to the multiplayer being set in the past when the splicing war first erupted whilst the single-player story takes place after the events of the original game.
