The Criterion Games blog recently revealed three new cars in their legendary cars pack. We already know about the Jansen 88 Special, but these new cars also have novelty features. Pictured above is the Carson Nighthawk, which is a variation of the Carson GT. Criterion states that this is the ‘ultimate super pursuit vehicle’. The Nighthawk should be great for night time racing as the vehicle’s custom lighting array is triggered when you start boosting. Hit the jump to read about the other two legendary cars.

When it comes to keeping their game alive, Criterion are doing a great job in terms of content. Continuing this trend is the upcoming ‘legendary cars’ pack. This pack will consist of four cars – the Cavalry Bootlegger, Manhattan Spirit, GT Nighthawk and the Jansen 88 Special which pictured above. The Jansen is the first of these four to be revealed and holy shit does it sound awesome, if the other three are anywhere near as epic then count me in.

Wow, I was expecting new cars and shit but I didn’t expect Criterion to add motorbikes to the mix. Coming with the ‘Davis’ update some time in August, the update will also bring night time to Paradise City. Traffic will be less during the night, and as if the challenges in Paradise weren’t too many as they are, Criterion will be adding new challenges and game modes specially for the motorbikes.

I hope some of you still own this game, as it’s seriously good fun when played together with mates. I think we should stray away from COD4 a little and give games like Burnout some love for a change. Anybody up for some races in Paradise City, where the grass is green and the girls are pretty? Sorry, I had to say it.
