Grand Theft Auto IV’s second exclusive downloadable content was recently revealed by Rockstar, and this time you’ll be playing as Luis Lopez who’s a “part-time hoodlum and a full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka “Gay Tony”)”. Take-Two have also stated that both expansions will be released on a single retail disc, which tells me this is probably the last major DLC we should expect for GTA4.
Since I watched the first gameplay video for Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, I couldn’t help but look forward to this game. I posted a video showing off the game’s hotwiring gimmick not long ago, this time it’s hacking and sniping. To be honest there doesn’t seem to be a huge different between the hacking and hotwiring mechanics, but the sniping looks… exploitable? As the video will show you, sniping is down from a bird’s eye view, so does that mean players will be able to ignore walls? Probably not, but we’ll find out soon enough.
Above is some fresh gameplay footage which demonstrates just that, how to hotwire cars and a bit of driving gameplay so that you don’t fall asleep while watching a shit gimmick demonstration. Yes, if it wasn’t obvious I do think the whole hotwiring thing will get old fast. Personally I’m really digging the visual style though, it’s back to the cartoony “let’s just fuck around” kind of image, replacing the serious look of Grand Theft Auto IV (which was still a great game until I completed the main story). I’ve also added the official trailer after the jump in case anyone missed it, so am I the only one excited about this or what?
