Some of you are probably late to the party, but yes there is a Mirror’s Edge demo on the marketplace right now. Developed by DICE and published by EA, the game is an action adventure title that uses a first person perspective. Though guns can be picked up and used, this is not an FPS, so they only function as temporary power-ups at best. The demo has two playable modes, Story and Race, though the latter is only available to people who have pre-ordered the game.
Remember when I created a forum topic about Mirror’s Edge when it was first announced? Remember how nobody really gave a shit? Well, you’ll probably start giving a shit now that you can stop looking at screenshots and start seeing some actual in-game footage. Behold bitches, one of the few games I’m actually excited about playing. I love the way you can see your arms and legs as you dash across the rooftops, and the way colours are used to direct your attention to paths of interest.
